“En flor” is the first book on cut flowers in Uruguay. It presents the history, current events and trends in the world of local floriculture, with the premise that if we surround ourselves with them, everyday life will be a little better. The book includes a historical overview and interviews that show the work of flower producers. It offers a series of tips - on the purchase, arrangement and care of flowers - and presents some postulates, such as the vindication of the carnation or the effect of the gesture of carrying flowers in the hand. An alphabetical guide of almost forty species, from the wallflower to the zinnia, facilitates knowledge of the flowers available in Uruguay according to each time of year. You will also find ideas on how to approach native or wild flora, new foliage elements or how to make flowers last forever.”
